Plan Your 4th of July Family Celebration

Plan Your 4th of July Family Celebration

This year as the 4th of July rolls around, it’s a great opportunity to spend time with the ones you love, your family. Grill some food, share some laughs, play some games and watch the fireworks, and also make sure everyone is comfortable! There are a few steps you can take to make sure your Fourth of July celebration stands out from the rest and create happy memories.

Party Setup and Décor

Now is the time to bring out all of your red, white and blue décor and go to town! It can be as simple as a red and white checkered tablecloth, or even one-of-a-kind homemade decorations the kids help create. When planning the celebration, take a look at your yard and think about setting up a few different zones for your family to enjoy the holiday. If you’re grilling, make sure the hot grill is in a safe space away from where kids are playing. Then you’ll need a refreshment zone, where you and the family can enjoy food and drinks throughout the day.

Our Gathercraft Outdoor Tea Cart is the solution you didn’t know your yard needed. Built from sturdy, rust-resistant aluminum, the basketweave motif and scroll legs offer beautiful details. Plus, this handy addition keeps all of your beverages and snacks in one place!

Creating a Watch Party

For the Fourth, a gathering with friends and family may not be ideal, but it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the holiday together --- virtually! Set up a streaming watch party with your favorites. Pin a sheet outdoors to create a movie screen and pair it with a few of our Boca Raton Adirondack Chairs arranged in a large circle! You’ll have the perfect setup for your movie night! These iconic chairs bring the coastal lifestyle to you. These sturdy chairs are made in the USA with 95% Recycled HDPE lumber that’s recycled from milk jugs and detergent containers. They’re pretty much maintenance-free and made to stand up to the elements. They won’t crack or fade and they never require painting. These chairs require you and guests to lean back, relax and enjoy the party.

For the Kids

For the kiddos, 4pm to 9pm is the sweet spot on this holiday. It’s after nap time, so the kids will be rested and ready for fun, but they’ll still be up late enough to enjoy the fireworks. Make sure you have enough shade in your yard for an afternoon of playtime. These can be organized lawn games or just some items to encourage free play, like kickball or sprinklers to run through. (And don’t forget to have sunscreen and mosquito repellent handy for everyone, as well!) If the children are old enough, you’ll definitely need plenty of sparklers to pass around. And make sure you get enough sparklers for the adults, too. Have a happy, fun and safe 4th of July!
