Martinsville Grandfather Clock

Grand Home Furnishings proudly provided the grandfather clocks to drivers and teams who won in Martinsville for many years. The grandfather clock tradition goes back many years to when grandfather clocks were manufactured in nearby Ridgeway, Virginia. Years ago, the Ridgeway Clock Company closed, and Grand Home Furnishings stepped in to provide clocks. Howard Miller, a clock manufacturer in Michigan, manufactured the clock, which was officially named The Martinsville Clock. The floor clock has lots of details from top to bottom and a distinctive swan neck pediment. Decorative shell overlay and raised burl veneer on the front crown look stunning in the Glen Arbor Cherry finish on select hardwoods and veneers. Cable-driven, triple-chime Kieninger movement plays 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 chimes accordingly with full chime and strike on the hour.
